Wayward Strand is a moving emotional narrative game that is woven from a number of different threads. They all unfold simultaneously in an air-borne hospital during the 1970s Australia.
Wayward Strand lets you take the part of Casey Beaumaris, an adolescent girl who visits the hospital for the first visit in a while. Over the course of three days, she will explore the history of the ship, as well as the lives of its inhabitants, and their relationships to one another.
When she arrives, she will be able to visit the rooms of the ship’s odd and delightful residents, choosing who she wants to spend her time with and learn about them. You can also join the crew and look around and explore the vessel in search of the dark secrets that lie within its past.
The patients at the hospital comprise an eclectic cast of characters Some are charming, others bizarre, and some rude each one with his own set of desires ideas, dreams and ambitions. They act as they please and are completely separate from the character of the patient.
During the three days Casey spends on the ship and the other passengers have their own lives to tell as stories she will study. Everyone acts and behaves in accordance with their individual schedules. They exchange news, opinions, gossip or joking around, or simply having a chat with Casey.
